Jeff Schmidt is a multi-award-winning creative director, writer, and sound designer who tells vivid stories with lush & layered soundscapes.

Jeff’s cinematic Sound Design has been a distinguishing feature of a widely acclaimed non-fiction audio series that has racked up over 100 million downloads. Many of these series have been or are presently developing as Television series (Dirty John, Dr. Death, Gladiator, Over My Dead Body, Joe Exotic, Twin Flames, and The Shrink Next Door.)

In addition to non-fiction, Jeff created the award-winning immersive anthology OMINOUS THRILL, a full-cast anthology of horror, thrillers, and suspense. Other dramatic series Jeff has designed are AFTERSHOCK starring Sarah Wayne Callies (The Walking Dead, Colony) and David Harbour (Hellboy, Stranger Things), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Walking Dead), THE TIMEKEEPER, SHELL, LOVE IN GRAVITY, DARK SANCTUM, and BLOOD TIES.

Jeff is a pioneer in the creative use of Binaural 3D and Spatial Audio in podcasts, beginning in 2017. Jeff has used these Spatial Audio techniques and his custom 3D recordings in every podcast series he’s designed since.

Jeff Schmidt Productions creates and produces audio stories in immersive 9.1.4 Dolby Atmos.

Jeff has created audio branding and original sound design for the Apple Music One Streaming service. 

Jeff owns and operates Alien Imaging Sound Design, a cutting-edge collection of custom music and sound design libraries for video, radio, and trailers. 

Jeff’s sound design has been featured in video games for Blizzard Entertainment, including World Of Warcraft and Diablo 3, and music performances for Sony Interactive’s Infamous 2 and Halo, the 20th Anniversary Edition for Microsoft Studios.
